Science I am good at, to science I go. I use semi scientific methods to get through life and build my business. Maybe I should use science to to probe questions I don't know.

I have one more limitation though. I am not good at all science. You see, I won national and international math competitions. I can take graduate level math class without prerequisite and got A easily after learning 1-2 days. The catch is that the information must be coherent. The information must be compressible to few principles.

I learned a psychology book written by psychiatrist, like The Road Less Traveled. There are many aspects that just don't "click" in my mind though. Things just don't feel right. So many claims are doubtful.

I read Double Your Dating, by David de Angelo. It feels right, but I need ideas I can express in words so I can analyze rather than ideas that I sort of feel.

Of course, there is a try and error strategy, which I was quite successful at.

So to understand women, I cannot just learn psychology. That's not a coherent science.

For example, Dale Carnegie's say that Humans want to feel important. Why? We know women chase rock star. All of our life we are taught that women want love. If so, why do they chase rock stars? Why? Is it because attraction is incomprehensible? By who?

I need theories of what humans want without a unifying glue that explain why humans want that. So I read many scientific books that are coherent.

I read:

The Mating Mind, Geoffrey Miller
The Red Queen, Matt Ridley
The Selfish Gene, Richard Dawkins
The Evolution of Desire, David M. Buss

Those books are coherent. They use evolution theory to predict humans behavior. The principles are simple. Things that work in the gene pool in the past, become common nowadays. Most of what's evolved in the past, is our preferences. So if we want to understand what humans want in instinctive level, just ponder what used to work in the past.

There's more detail to it, but we'll use that model for the sake of this website.

For example, having sex promotes gene pool survival in the past. So all of us crave sex now. Simple? Now there is contraception and artificial insemination. So sex don't always lead to making babies. Still humans don't crave to breed. They crave for sex, because that's what works in the past.

Surprising Discovery

What I found from those books, surprise me. Love is not blind. It's obviously not the case for male. Obviously male are not attracted sexually to ugly old female.

And what about females? Females' consent is not a God' grant or decided by the star as what we've been taught all along by pop music. Your really need to find more credible "hardcore" source of information than that.

Just as there are traits on females that make them attractive, such as beauty, there are traits in males that make one male more attractive than the other.

In fact, males vary in quality and attractiveness even more than female. In most species, the word alpha females are rarely heard. Males are happy to sleep with many females than insisting on scoring with a high quality one. Males are way more promiscuous than females.

Do wealth buy love?

While males are attracted to beauty, females are attracted to wealth, and power. In fact, males vary in quality so much that females would rather share a high quality male than be the only one for a low quality ones. There aren't too many space here left to explain all the females want. But that's the basic.

Things start clicking in. Why females want to decorate their face so much? Why I always have an unexplained urged to acquire wealth without even knowing what's it's for? Why other males like to show of their wealth.

Wealth correlate well with sexual desirability and kids nurturing ability in the past. Sexual selection is positive feedback. We got that preferences built in by our genes through evolution.

Things click satisfactorily and I feel an eerie sensation of all the explanations offered to me. A person point that out clearly in a newsgroup.
