In humans, both for gene pool survival and sexual selection, smartness is important. Smartness is more of a vector rather than a scalar number. Some people have great instincts to deal with others. Some are good at Math but bad interpersonal skill. Some are so good at both others beat him up in school to death out of jealousy. It's hard to judge which one is truly superior and which one is not. Hence, those smartness need to be proven by worthy achievements, such as wealth achievements. Females then simply pick males that are the richest. Wealth signals capability. Wealth instill jealousy from the other males with shorter tail equivalent. The Amazing Impact of WealthSexual selection is a positive feedback system. What works in the gene pool in the past is what's attractive now. In the past, females that prefer to share a rich male will have many kids. Now, females still prefer to share a smart rich male than be the only one for a poor one. Natural PreferencesMost species have two kind of sexes. One produce small gametes that swim toward eggs. The other produce expensive eggs. For simplicity sake, lets' call those producing small gametes as males. Let's call the small gametes sperm. That makes those less fortunate to produce the expensive eggs... females. Some species, like mammals, have those producing eggs also rent a belly for the offspring. After that the female mammals have to nurture the kids in long period of gestation. Now, if you write a book, you lose very little if someone read your book. So you want as many people to read that right? If you want to read a book, you spent time to read it and money to buy it. So you want a high quality book The same ways, it's natural that females want high quality males and males want high quantity of females. That's because males' biological investment in females are just sperms, while females need to spend her time to get pregnant and stuff. Also a male gene pool survival improved greatly proportional with the females he successfully mates and kids he successfully provide. Both correlate well with wealth. What works in the past are preferences that are common now. So on the instinctive level, males want as many females as possible, while females want high quality males. Without governments' regulation regulating sexes, only top 20% of males population will produce offspring. That explains why we have so many sex laws. To ration females to less desirable, often way poorer, males. Inequality of MenAll our life we are being taught that men are equal. Romance indoctrination tell about how some women is the most beautiful woman in the world. Some are "supers," like super models and are worthy of some form of worship. We are told to believe that men are equal where some very special women are "special". However, if we look at other species, most of the quality differences are in the males. In humans, which one is more equal, men or women? Which one vary in quality more? When we say the word "super" we mean something that's way beyond the average. The truth is, even the most beautiful miss universe, or super model, is probably not much sexier, then your high school female friends. Give 10 years age different and the miss universe will start deterioting in quality while your high school friends will "catch" up. However, your average high school males don't make as much money as Bill Gates. In all species under heaven, the differences of "quality" are not in the females of the species but in the males. No truth is self evidence, and all such claim is deceiving. Men are naturally different. Some males are more handsome, some are more famous, some are richer, some are more understanding, some good at seducing, some are more ... everything. Now, what consequences do we have now that we know this truth? |
