Most species have two kind of sexes. One produce small gametes that swim toward eggs. The other produce expensive eggs.

For simplicity sake, lets' call those producing small gametes as males. Let's call the small gametes sperm. That makes those less fortunate to produce the expensive eggs... females.

Some species, like mammals, have those producing eggs also rent a belly for the offspring. After that the female mammals have to nurture the kids in long period of gestation.

Now, if you write a book, you lose very little if someone read your book. So you want as many people to read that right? If you want to read a book, you spent time to read it and money to buy it. So you want a high quality book

The same ways, it's natural that females want high quality males and males want high quantity of females. That's because males' biological investment in females are just sperms, while females need to spend her time to get pregnant and stuff.

We are told to believe that men are equal where some very special women are "special".

However, if we look at other species, most of the quality differences are in the males.

When we say the word "super" we mean something that's way beyond the average.

The truth is, even the most beautiful miss universe, or super model, is probably not much sexier, then your high school female friends. Give 10 years age different and the miss universe will start deterioting in quality while your high school friends will "catch" up.

In all species under heaven, the differences of "quality" are not in the females of the species but in the males.
